Nissan is reawakening the Power of Z with the new Nissan Z Proto. We’ve combined 50 years of passion and heritage with modern technology to design the new generation of the legendary Z sports car.

The Z Proto will be unveiled Sept. 16 at the Nissan Pavilion. Find out more:https://www.thenissannext.com/

Nissan now has provided a calendar invite for Sept 16th at 1:00 AM - 1:45 AM.  The outlook version doesn't have a timezone.  If it's GMT it would match up to Z CON and be around 9 AM in Japan.

Zcon is going on in Nashville during this time, but I wasn't sure where the "Nissan Pavillion" was.  At first glance at the schedule, I got really excited on Tuesday 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM, with a "special guess". However, Tuesday is the 15th and 1 AM part doesn't really match up.

Digging for more information I discovered it was actually in Yokohama, so not very hopeful for a Z Con reveal at least.

Z Con will be buzzing with information, and it's a good chance Nissan may still have a car on-site for enthusiasts to check out and provide feedback.

We are excited and optimistic to see what Nissan has to offer.

Projects with huge meaning do not come every day, on top of that, few projects trigger immediate “slide show” memories like Z. In Tokyo 50 years ago Tai san(Nissan Executive Design Director) saw his first Z and “lights on” wanted to be a car designer. Around the same time but a few thousand miles away a Cuban kid(me😇)in Miami saw his first Z and as well simply “what?WOW”! Tai san later was a designer on the ultra-modern, breathtakingly minimalistic 300ZX, the 2nd clay model I saw on my first trip to design studio in Japan 31 years ago (another huge WHAT?WOW moment). I later found myself working on 350Z, a team dream to find a new language for Z discovering mechanical beauty and road hugging performance posture. More to come but please share and let us know your memorieZ. #nissanz #Powerofz #nissan #datsun240z #nissan350z #nissan300zx #nissan370z #nissannext #fairlady240z
